Subordinate Service Selection Board Punjab Government has released recruitment for the posts of Jail Warder and Jail Matron. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website sssb.punjab.gov.in.
Vacancy details:
- Jail Warder: 175 Posts
- Jail Matron: 4 posts
- Total No. of Posts : 179
Educational Qualification :
- Jail Warder: 12th passed from recognized board.
- Jail Matron: 12th pass. Candidates must have studied Punjabi as an optional subject in 10th.
Physical Ability :
- Male candidates must have minimum height 5 feet 7 inches and chest measurement of 33 (34.5 cms when expanded).
- The minimum height of female candidates should be 5 feet 3 inches and minimum weight should be 50 kg.
Age Range :
- Minimum : 18 Years
- Maximum : 27 Years
- Relaxation in upper age limit will be given as per State Government rules.
Selection Process:
- written exam
- Physical Test
- Document Verification
- Medical Exam
Fees :
- General, Sportsman, Freedom Fighter: Rs.1000
- SC, BC, Economically Weaker Section: Rs 250
- Ex-servicemen and reserved: Rs 200
