Police say that this accident happened due to the high tension line breaking due to strong wind and rain last night. However, nothing like this was seen on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Divesh, Jaipal and Wasi Uzzama. The family members allege that the way the wires were lying open on the side of the road, it clearly shows the negligence of the electricity corporation. All the three persons had taken shelter on the footpath to avoid the water filled on the road after the rain. Due to the presence of a metro station, a large number of people keep moving here.
People say that the current in the water came because of these exposed wires. However, the police are claiming that the high tension line wire was broken.
