There was a head on collision between two trucks on National Highway 31 in front of Surhi village under Narhi police station area of Ballia. Due to which the road got jammed. After a lot of hard work by the police, traffic started smoothly at around 9 o’clock on Wednesday.

There was a massive collision between two trucks in front of Surhi village on Wednesday night at around 8:30. For now, the drivers and helpers of both the vehicles are said to be safe. But due to the collision on the road, the movement of big vehicles was disrupted and a long traffic jam occurred. There was a long line of vehicles from Sobantha to Govindpur.

People were stranded since 9 pm

A driver stuck in the jam said that we are stuck in the jam since 9 pm. Small vehicles and bikes are somehow able to pass through. But traffic will not be able to move until the vehicles are removed from the road to allow the movement of big vehicles.

We have been stuck in the jam for twelve hours. Due to the jam, even school children could not reach school. On Wednesday morning, after a lot of hard work, the police started the traffic. Inspector-in-charge Narhi said that the jam has ended and traffic has started.
