Rifle shooter Swapnil Kusle will be India’s medal hope on Thursday at the Paris Olympics. He will play the final of the men’s category of 50m rifle three position. Shift Kaur Samara and Anjum Moudgil will participate in the qualification round of the women’s category of the same event. Also, boxer Nikhat Zareen will play the pre-quarterfinal match of the 50 kg weight category.
A total of 18 gold medals will be at stake on the sixth day of the games being held in Paris. Indian players will be contenders in 3 of these medal events. India has won only 2 bronze medals so far. Both medals have come from shooting.

The Indian hockey team will face defending champion Belgium. Team India is coming after defeating Ireland 2-0 in the last match. While Belgium defeated Tokyo silver medalist Australia by a huge margin of 6-2.
The Indian hockey team is undefeated so far in the Paris Olympics. Team India won 2 matches, while one was a draw.
Badminton: Satwik-Chirag’s quarter match against Chia-Soh
In the men’s doubles of badminton, the world number-3 Indian pair of Satwik-Chirag will face Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik of Malaysia. The Indian pair won the title last year by outperforming their Malaysian rivals in the semi-finals of the Asian Games. The Chia-Soh pair has already won the bronze medal at Tokyo 2020. The draws for the men’s doubles category of badminton were released on Wednesday.
