Complaints were being received against 7 policemen posted in various police stations of Mirzapur. Taking cognizance of this, Superintendent of Police Abhinandan suspended them with immediate effect on Thursday. Along with this, a departmental inquiry has also been ordered.

In which, strict action has been taken against Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar posted in Kachhwa police station, Head Constable Durgesh Kumar Pandey, Head Constable Ziauddin from Kotwali city, Head Constable Indrajit Singh from Police Line, Head Constable Piyush Kumar Mishra, Constable Sunil Yadav from City Kotwali and Constable Anurag Yadav after serious allegations against them.
Before this, the SP had sent 46 constables to the police line. On Tuesday, 17 head constables and constables were sent to the line. SP Abhinandan sent 29 constables to the line on Saturday. So far, 46 have been sent to the line and 7 people have been suspended in the third phase.
