Shiva devotees are performing Jalabhishek at Ayodhya Nageshwar Nath since morning.
A huge crowd of Kanwariyas thronged Ramnagari on Sawan Trayodashi i.e. Sawan Shivratri. About five to six lakh Kanwariyas took a dip in the Saryu and performed the Abhishek of Nageshwarnath Mahadev. In view of the huge crowd of Kanwariyas, the administration has restricted the movement of heavy vehicles on the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway.

On Trayodashi, lakhs of devotees are bathing in the Saryu river since 3 am. Shiva devotees are taking water from the Saryu river and performing Jalabhishek in the Lord Nageshwar Nath temple. The entire Ram Nagari resounded with the chants of Lord Shiva and Bam-Bam Bole. In view of the crowd, the police administration is barricading the place and letting the devotees go in batches.

Lakhs of devotees reached Ramnagari in the evening to perform Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva in Sawan. These devotees came from Gonda, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj and many other districts. They performed Jalabhishek in Nageshwar Nath temple in the morning and left for their local temple with Dak Kavad.

The crowd has increased manifold in the Sawan fair being held for the first time after Pran Pratishtha. The administration is on alert in view of the crowd. The police is monitoring the entire fair area with CCTV cameras installed at various places. In the fair area, Nayaghat, Saryu river bank, Hanumangarhi etc. are also being monitored with drone cameras. According to the police, intelligence department employees have also been deployed along with police personnel in plain clothes in the crowd of Kanwariyas.

On Sawan Shivratri, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in other Shiva temples of Ram Nagari. Since morning, Shiva devotees are performing Jalabhishek and Abhishek Puja in various Shiva temples of Ram Nagari including Nageshwarnath Temple, Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple, Naka Hanumangarhi.
