Actor Manoj Bajpayee has now given his statement on the debate going on in the industry regarding the increase in fees of stars. Manoj said that these are the same producers who first pamper the stars and then later complain about the increase in their fees.
Talking about himself in this interview, Manoj said- ‘Sometimes I shoot even without basic facilities. Still, no one casts me.’
By reducing fees, we also take profit sharing: Manoj
In an interview given to E-Times, actor Manoj Bajpayee said, ‘This matter is related only to big stars, not actors like me. I would just say that a star is the face of the film. The producer who signs a star knows that the burden of the entire film is on the shoulders of that star.
Now in such a situation, if the star is asking for some more facilities from you, then I don’t think there is anything wrong in it. Many of these stars sign the film by reducing their fees and take a big part of the profit sharing.
‘First you gave me rasgulla, now you are crying’
Manoj gave an example of the hypocrisy of producers and said- ‘This whole debate is strange. There is a contradiction here. Those who carry stars on their shoulders are the ones who are talking about reducing fees.
This is like first you gave me rasgulla and protein shake because you think that I can win the marathon… and then you are crying that I drank too many rasgullas and protein shakes.
Manoj was last seen in the film ‘Bhaiya Ji’, released in May 2024.
Nobody casts me: Manoj
Manoj further said, ‘Nobody gives me that much money. I go with my limited staff and sometimes I don’t even take the basic facilities. Nobody casts me.
You only cast stars because they give you a guarantee that the film will do well at the box office. In the end, everyone is taking a gamble.’
