The team which had come to demolish the newly built houses of the poor on barren land in Samesi Majra Kanchankheda village of Nagaram in Lucknow had to return after facing opposition. The Mohanlalganj revenue team had to return empty handed after facing opposition from the villagers.

SDM Mohanlalganj has denied taking action to demolish the houses of the poor. On Friday afternoon, Revenue Inspector Nagaram Shivnarayan Singh, Halka Lekhpal Samesi Alok Kumar Gupta, Nagaram Police Force reached Kanchan Kheda village with a bulldozer.

When they tried to demolish the wall of farmers Ramkumar Dhiman, Meku Dhiman and Khushiram, a large number of villagers present there started protesting and creating a ruckus. Seeing the protest, the revenue team and police returned from the spot with a bulldozer.

After a while, the revenue team, accompanied by a large police force from the police station, reached the spot again for demolition. The villagers present there, including Ramkumar Dhiman, Mekku, started a ruckus alleging one-sided action of demolishing the house. Once again the revenue team had to return empty-handed.

Revenue Inspector Nagaram Shivnarayan Singh said that the land situated in Kanchan Kheda with plot number 1529 measuring 0.101 hectares is recorded as barren in the revenue records. Earlier, an ANM centre was built on this land, which is defunct. Ramkumar, Meku, Khushiram are getting new construction done on the remaining land.
