On Saturday afternoon, unknown thieves broke into a doctor’s house in Maharajganj and broke the lock of the cupboard and escaped after stealing jewelry worth 3 lakhs and cash worth 30 thousand. When the doctor reached home for lunch in the afternoon, he was shocked to see the scene inside the house. He immediately informed the police about the incident.

According to the complaint of the victim doctor Sarvdev Pandey, he has a clinic in Mirchain of Gulriha police station area of Gorakhpur district. Like every day, he went to the clinic with his wife at 9 o’clock today. There was no one at his house. He has three daughters-in-law. All three live outside with their husbands. When he came home for lunch in the afternoon, the outside door was closed. When he went inside, he saw that the thieves broke the lock of the cupboard and stole 11 pieces of jewelry worth about three lakhs and 30 thousand rupees of his daughters-in-law and wife.
The cupboard was found open inside the house.
Police termed the case suspicious
Paniara in-charge inspector Nirbhay Kumar Singh said that the case seems suspicious. The complaint has been received. The matter is being investigated.
