Four non-bailable warrants and one bailable warrant issued by the National Commission were pending against Sanjeev Jain
Sanjeev Jain, director and CEO of Parsvnath Landmark Developers — a subsidiary of Parsvnath Developers, was arrested on Sunday after a 60 km chase, said Delhi police. A non-bailable warrant was issued against Jain for not appearing before the Consumer Commission on July 18.
The police informed that they had received information that Sanjeev Jain was trying to flee from India. Based on the information, the police laid a trap and started chasing the CEO of Parsvnath Landmark Developer.
A cat and mouse game continued between Delhi Police and Sanjeev Jain for about 60 kilometers. Despite police chasing him, Jain managed to reach the airport in efforts to escape. However, the police arrested him.
After arresting Sanjeev Jain, he was presented before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
Shahdara Deputy Commissioner of Police Surendra Chaudhary said that a complaint was filed in the Consumer Commission in the year 2017 against Sanjeev Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Parsvanath Developers Private Limited.
According to the police, four non-bailable warrants and one bailable warrant issued by the National Commission were pending against Sanjeev Jain in Shahdara police station. In compliance with all these warrants, the Special Task Force was trying to catch Sanjeev Jain.
The police received information that Sanjeev was in an apartment in DLF Phase-2 in Gurugram, Haryana. When the police reached the spot, Sanjeev somehow fled the spot. The police then chased and caught him after running for about 60 kilometers.
