During investigation, the police found an old photograph of Avneesh and his associates with weapons.

Police will now take action under Gangster Act against former Press Club President Avnish Dixit who was sent to jail in the land grabbing case worth Rs. 1000 crore in Civil Lines. More than a dozen investigations are going on against Avnish including his involvement in Municipal Corporation scam and PF scam.

Syndicate of journalists, politicians and capitalists in the land grab case

Former Kanpur Press Club President Avnish Dixit Gang tried to occupy the 28 thousand square meter missionary plot in front of Kesco MD Office located in Civil Lines. Two FIRs were registered in the case and Avnish Dixit was arrested and sent to jail. As soon as Avnish went to jail, a series of complaints started against him and till now five serious cases have been registered against him including land grabbing, extortion, etc. While the investigation of four cases related to Avnish Gang has been reopened. Till now FIRs have been registered against about 40 people in Avnish Gang.

Police investigation has revealed that a big land grabbing syndicate is active in the city. It includes famous lawyers, capitalists and leaders of the city. Avnish gang’s transaction of crores with this syndicate has also come to light. Due to this, the police is now preparing to impose gangster act to curb the syndicate. Gang chart is being prepared. Soon gangster action will be taken against Avnish and 12 to 15 people of his gang.

So far 5 FIRs have been filed against Avnish gang, these names have come forward

In the two cases registered in the Kotwali, Anvesh Dixit, Harendra Masih, Rahul Verma, Maurice Ariel, Kamala Ariel, Abhishek Ariel, Arpan Ariel, Jitesh Jha, Mohit Bajpai, Sandeep, Vicky Charles, Abbas, Jitendra were made accused.
A case has been registered by Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Savitri Nagar Mangalavihar in Chakeri. Apart from Avnish Dixit, Kusum Sharma, Mahesh Chand Sharma, Abhinay Shukla, Nekram, Jagdish and 10-12 others have been made accused in this case.
Mufeed Khan, a resident of Deputy Padav in Anwarganj, has filed a case. Avnish Dixit, Wasim Khan and Akhlaq have been made accused.
Advocate Saurabh Bhadoria has filed a case in Nazirabad. Avnish Dixit, Jaikant Bajpai, Shobhit Bajpai, Ajaykant Bajpai, Vipin Gupta, Yash Mishra, Aslam Raini, Salman Khan, Nisar Ahmed, Vivek Pandey (Sonu), Rahul Bajpai, Vishal Kori, Aman Tiwari, Manoj Yadav, Prince Sonkar, Abhinav Shukla, Raman Gupta, Ikhlaq Ahmed have been made accused.
Shashi Saini, resident of Badshahi Naka, filed a case. A case was filed against Manoj Yadav alias Wasooli Bandar and Vinod Yadav and four others. Later, the police also revealed the name of Avnish Dixit as an accomplice.

The reinvestigation of these cases was stopped due to the influence of Avneesh and his close associates

A case was registered in the Fieldkhana police station on 18 June 2021 by BJP councilor Vikas Jaiswal. The police had named Rahul Singh Chauhan, Rahul Bajpai, Amit Kumar, Vinayak, Ramji Gupta and Yuvraj Dwivedi under the IT Act and extortion by intimidation. It was alleged that the plaintiff councilor was defamed by accusing him of gambling and 50 thousand rupees were demanded from him. Now it is alleged that the police closed the case by filing an FR under the pressure of Avneesh Dixit.
On July 1, 2017, a woman resident of Babpurva filed a case against Avnish Dixit, Rahul Bajpai and four others under sections of molestation, rioting and threat. The allegation was that Avnish was trying to force the plaintiff’s husband to withdraw a case. She stopped the husband and when he protested, the said people tried to pull him inside the car. In this case too, the police had filed an FR and given a clean chit to everyone.
The police have started the investigation of the PF scam registered in Colonelganj police station again. In this case, Ajay Singh, a victim contract employee of Kesco, had filed a case in Colonelganj police station. Police arrested Mukul Dubey, a resident of Gandhinagar, and sent him to jail. It is alleged that Mukul took documents from the employees and changed the bank account numbers linked to the PF account and transferred the PF amount to the bank accounts of his acquaintances. Police had filed a chargesheet against 22 accused including Mukul in the case, but no action was taken against the service provider company of this scam. The then investigator tried to save the company operators. The name of this company is Balaji Proprietor. Avnish’s wife is in the company, investigation has started again in this case. On Saturday, the victim employees recorded their statements in the office of ACP Colonelganj Mahesh Kumar.
Aligarh Road Hathras resident Revand Johnson Tejan had lodged a case against 13 named and 10 unknown persons under sections of fraud and forgery at Colonelganj police station on 25 July 2023. On the basis of the complaint, the police had named Mohammad Raees, Salim Biryani, Anil Kumar, Mohit Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Rafiq, Vijay Mantod, Liaquat Khan, Arpit Mishra, Duryodhan Prasad, Rajjan Bajpai, Ajjan and Shaukat. The police had removed the names of others except Ajjan and Shaukat from the case. This case is also under re-investigation.

There is a discrepancy in the crores of rupees contract of drain cleaning

Police investigation has also revealed that the web of the accused who had encroached the land was spread till the Municipal Corporation. A proper company was formed and through it the contract of drain cleaning was taken in the Municipal Corporation. According to the police officer, the same company has taken the contract of drain cleaning of Rs 4.5 crore in 2019-20, Rs 76 lakh in 2023-24 and recently Rs 76 lakh. A woman is also involved in this company and the company belongs to the one who is also accused of encroaching the land in Civil Lines. Large amounts have also been exchanged between this company and the organization of Harendra Masih. Details have also been sought from the bank and the Municipal Corporation regarding these transactions.

Police released photo with weapons

The police released a photo of former Kanpur Press Club president Avnish Dixit on Saturday. In the photo, Avnish is seen sitting with five weapons and eight people. The photo is said to be quite old. Additional CP Law and Order Harish Chander said that the investigation of this photo has been handed over to ADCP Crime Manish Sonkar.
