In protest against the electricity crisis, survey and raids in Firozabad, the United Business Board closed the market and demonstrated semi-naked against the district administration and officials on Sunday. The traders kept the main market closed from Subhash Tiraha to Ghantaghar.

Police force has been deployed to close the market. The trade board officials have also been active since morning to close the market. However, shops are open at other places except the main market.
The United Business Board had announced a market shutdown on Sunday with 11 point demands against the electricity crisis in the city and rural areas, encroachment by the Municipal Corporation, anti-polythene campaign, surveys and raids by the Food Department, GST and other departments. To make the market shutdown successful, traders had also sought support by taking out a bike rally on Saturday. Traders had started gathering since morning. They started their protest by going semi-naked.
The traders kept the main market closed till Ghantaghar including Subhash Tiraha, Gandhi Park, Central Chauraha, Sadar Bazar. On the other hand, shops remained open in Kotla Road, Jaleshwar Road, Suhag Nagar, Gaddha Bazar located in Rasulpur and other areas, where people kept shopping.
Crowds were also seen at the snack shops and carts in the market. To make the market shutdown successful, the Vyapar Mandal officials remained active in the market. The traders protested against the officials by raising slogans and also appealed to them not to harass the traders.
