Indian Supercross Racing League’s mega auction in October: League’s cofounder-director Ishan Lokhande told- Watching the National Championship is the turning point of the career

Indian Supercross Racing League co-founder and CEO Ishan Lokhande told that I went to watch a racing national championship at Baburao Sanas Sports Ground in Pune in 1999, that championship was the turning point of my entire career.

Ishan Lokhande told Dainik Bhaskar, I and my family come from a tennis background. But, my interest in racing started from mountain biking. He said, for tennis, we used to train in mountain biking (a variation of cycling). From this time my interest in racing started. In 1999, I came to know that there was a National Championship race at Baburao Sanas Sports Ground in Pune. I went to watch it and it was the turning point of my career.

He further said during the conversation, ever since I saw that championship, I started loving racing. It was something different, which not everyone could do. I like challenges, so I decided that I will do this. When I came home, they could not believe it, I said I really want to do it, from there my racing career started.

Tremendous response from all over the world for the second season
He further said, the second season is getting tremendous response from all over the world. A record number of riders registered for the mega auction of the second season in the first three weeks. This registration window started on 21 June. In Season 2, more than 100 registrations have been crossed in the first three weeks itself.

The first season of the league was also played in four categories. The second season will also be played in the same number.

He also informed that the mega auction for the second season of the league will be held in October this year. Supercross motorcycle racing takes place on a mud track in the stadium. During supercross racing, racers are also seen performing stunts. The first season of the Indian Supercross Racing League was quite spectacular and the second season will be played next year. The first season was played between January and March this year. It was played in three legs. The first leg was held in Pune, the second in Ahmedabad and the third in Bengaluru.

Ishan has 8 years of racing experience Ishan Lokhande has 8 years of racing experience. He is one of the top motocross racers in India. He is also the first Indian to race in an international motocross team. Ishan used to play tennis before motorsports. He has played national and all India tennis tournaments.

The second season will run from January to March 2025
The dates for the second season of the league have been announced. The second season will run from January to March 2025. Following the success of its inaugural season, the ISRL is set to feature more races, new stadiums and an exciting new racing format.

The world’s first racing franchise
ISRL is the world’s first franchise racing league. Just like there is IPL in cricket, ISL in football and PKL in Kabaddi, similarly ISRL has started in bike racing. The first season was held at 3 different venues in the country.
