Kuldeep Raj Watal, currently a member of the administrative committee of the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) of Bhadohi, has been appointed as the interim chairman of the council. He reached the council’s office in Delhi on Sunday and took over his charge.

Kuldeep Raj Watal assured to fulfill his responsibilities after taking charge. He said that my priority is to work diligently towards the objective of the Council. Which aims to enhance the growth and development of the handmade carpet and rug industry. I am confident that with the support of my colleagues in the COA and the cooperation of the Government of India, we can achieve great success for the industry.

Chairman appointed by DC Handicraft

In an order issued by the office of Development Commissioner Handicrafts Textiles Ministry Government of India, Kuldeep Raj Watal, present Administrative Committee Member of Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) has been appointed as Interim Chairman. He will remain the Interim Chairman of CEPC till the final order of DC Handicrafts.

Before this, he has been the President of CEPC twice

Kuldeep Raj Watal, a veteran of the carpet and rug industry, has previously served as the Chairman of CEPC twice (from 2001 to 2003 and from 2014 to 2017). His experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry is expected to contribute significantly to the growth and export of carpet and rugs by exporters.
