‘The Level of Spice was Just Enough… Would Like to Go Back & Try Some Indian Food’: John Cena – News18

WWE icon John Cena was in India to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding last month. The 16-time world champion has now opened up about his experience of the grand wedding.

The WWE wrestler revealed how he enjoyed various cuisines that were available at the ceremony. During an interview with ANI, John Cena was asked if he had a good experience with Indian food.

The wrestler quickly responded, “Oh yeah! Yeah! I mean…The Ambani wedding had its fair share of cuisine but they also did Indian food and Indian street food very well. The food was fantastic.”

John Cena further talked about how he didn’t quite have enough time to try everything that was available. He looked forward to returning to India for another food adventure.

“I had a short stay which means I would like to go back and try some Indian food. The level of spice was just enough for me…just enough to break a small sweat. So I can’t wait,” he told ANI.

John Cena surprised the world following his appearance at the Ambani wedding. The multi-time world champion was seen dancing and celebrating with several guests at the ceremony. Cena also met several Bollywood stars, including the likes of Shah Rukh Khan.

“It was just such an emotional moment to be able to shake a person’s hand that affects your life so drastically and tell them specifically what they did. He was amazing. He couldn’t have been more empathetic and kind and sharing. It really was wonderful. It was wonderful. I was awestruck, starstruck. It was fantastic,” Cena said.

Earlier this month, John Cena also announced his retirement plans. Widely regarded as one of the WWE’s greatest-ever superstars, Cena made the surprise announcement during the company’s Money in the Bank premium live event. He revealed that the 2025 Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 41 would be his last premium live events.

The Massachusetts-born wrestler made his debut in 2001. After acquiring multiple championships in the company, Cena took up more of a part-time role in 2018 after his Hollywood career took off.
