The priest of Neelkantheshwar temple under Thana Pali in Lalitpur was beaten up by two devotees on Sunday evening over some dispute. Someone made a video of this assault and made it viral on social media.

During the fight, a policeman was seen on the spot, but he left the spot after seeing the fight. It has come to light that the fight took place due to a dispute over a piece of wood worth two hundred rupees. The police registered an FIR against two brothers on the complaint of the priest in the case of the fight and arrested them.

On Sunday, Munnalal, a resident of Sidwan temple under Lalitpur police station, had come to the temple with his family. He started asking for wood from the priest Pradeep Maharaj present in the temple to cook food. During this, the priest gave the wood for two hundred rupees. When the devotees were cooking food, the priest asked for money for the wood. Then a dispute arose over the money.

After which Munna Lal’s sons Saurabh and Sonu abused and assaulted the priest. Due to which he got injured. When the fight was going on, a policeman present there stayed for a while and then went away.

People present on the spot made a video of the assault incident and made it viral on social media. Area Officer Pali Rakshapal Singh said that an FIR has been registered against two people and they have been arrested in the case of assault on the priest.
