Two bike riding thieves have committed the crime of chain snatching from a woman in the main market, just 200 meters away from Lakhimpur Kheri Sadar Kotwali. Police reached the spot after getting the information and started investigating the incident. CCTV footage of the neighboring shops is being scanned.

A woman from Ramnagar locality had come to do some shopping with two women of her family near Hamdard Dawakhana on the main market road of Sadar Kotwali area at around 3 o’clock. Two bike riders coming from behind snatched the chain from the woman’s neck. When the woman shouted, some people tried to catch the bike riders, but they ran away. Sadar Kotwali police reached on information and is engaged in investigation by interrogating the women.
In this area of barely 500 meters between Sadar Kotwali and Mishrana police post, Sadar Kotwal Amber Singh said that two bike riders have snatched the chain of an elderly woman of Ramnagar. The team is busy investigating. All the CCTVs around the incident spot are being scanned.
