Star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, Kishore Jena and wrestler Vinesh Phogat will start their campaigns at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday. Tokyo Olympics-2020 gold medalists Chopra and Jena will participate in the qualification event of Men’s Javelin Throw. The medal match of this event will be held on August 8.
On the 11th day of the ongoing Games in Paris, wrestler Vinesh Phogat will face Japan’s Olympic and world champion Yui Susaki in the women’s 50 kg pre-quarterfinal match. Susaki has not lost a single international match till date.
At the same time, the Indian hockey team will play against world champion Germany in the semi-finals. Also, the Indian men’s table tennis team will face China in the pre-quarterfinals. The Indian team includes Achanta Sharath Kamal, Harmeet Desai and Manav Thakkar.

- Arshad Nadeem: The Pakistani star won the silver medal at the World Championships last year with a throw of 90.18m. He is the gold medalist of CWG-2022.
- Oliver Helander: Finland’s Oliver Helander is ranked fourth in the world and has a season best of 85.75m.
