‘Long Way To Go…’: Prince William’s First Reaction After Kate Finishes Chemotherapy – News18

Kate, 42, wife of heir-to-the-throne Prince William, on Monday announced in an emotional video message that she had finished chemotherapy after her cancer diagnosis.

William, the Prince of Wales, on Tuesday said that the end of Princess Kate Middleton’s chemotherapy treatment for cancer is a “good news”, but added that his wife still has “a long way to go”.

“It’s good news but there is still a long way to go,” Prince William said during his first public appearance since his wife, shared a personal video about her cancer treatment.

The Prince of Wales travelled to Llanelli, Carmarthenshire on Tuesday to celebrate Welsh sport and culture, according to BBC.

He was greeted by a crowd where several people offered their well wishes to the Princess of Wales following her announcement she had completed chemotherapy. He thanked everyone for their thoughts, with some handing him cards and messages.

Kate releases emotional video

Kate, 42, wife of heir-to-the-throne Prince William, on Monday announced in an emotional video message that she had finished chemotherapy after her cancer diagnosis.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” she said in a personal message released by her office.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown,” she added.

Princess Catherine said in the video she was looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more official engagements in the coming months.

Kate made her first public appearance since her health issues emerged in June at “Trooping the Colour”, the annual military parade to mark the official birthday of King Charles, and in July, she appeared at the Wimbledon tennis championships.

As part of the latest announcement, Kensington Palace released a highly-personal video of Kate with William and their three children which was filmed in Norfolk.

“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” she said.
