Before the wedding season begins in Agra, the administration is in a mood to take action against the marriage homes and baraat ghars of Agra. Action will be taken against those marriage homes, baraat ghars and nursing homes which do not have a system for waste disposal. This order was given by DM Bhanuchandra Goswami.

A joint meeting of the District Sanitation Committee (rural and urban) was held in the Collectorate Auditorium. The DA directed all the Assistant Development Officers (Panchayat) to provide the list of marriage homes, baraat ghar and nursing homes falling under their respective areas of work as soon as possible. Talks should be held with the operators of all marriage homes, baraat ghar and nursing homes. A plan should be made for the disposal of the waste generated and the disposal of the waste should also be ensured. He also directed that if any marriage home, baraat ghar and nursing home has any problem in waste disposal, then that should also be resolved. After depositing the prescribed fee through the Municipal Corporation or Nagar Panchayat, they will be given vehicles to assist in waste disposal.

Garbage removed from highway Instructions were given in the meeting that the garbage/waste lying on all state highways and other roads should be removed by 20th September. Identify the places where garbage/waste is dumped (black spots) in the district and ensure that their garbage/waste is also disposed of. The District Basic Education Officer was instructed to make an action plan at his own level and ensure that the identified CRC centers in the district are operational. The Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat) was instructed to pay special attention to cleanliness in those Gram Panchayats whose population is more than 5 thousand.

It is present Additional Municipal Commissioner Surendra Yadav, CMO Dr. Arun Kumar Srivastava, Chief Treasurer Rita Sachan, District Panchayat Raj Officer Manish Kumar, District Basic Education Officer Jitendra Kumar God, all Assistant Development Officers (Panchayat) and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
