Newly appointed Chairman of SIDBI YP Singh interacted with journalists on Tuesday while taking charge at the office of Social Welfare Construction Corporation located in Gomti Nagar. Singh said that he will prepare action plans for 30, 60 and 90 days and will help the department in the next financial year.

YP Singh, a chartered accountant working with five partners in a Noida-based company, described the current situation in Uttar Pradesh as positive and said that the state has now become a role model for other states in terms of development. He praised the BJP government for its achievements in ending organized crime in Uttar Pradesh, providing benefits under roads, drinking water and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
YP said that the department earned a profit of Rs 11 crore by doing work worth Rs 800 crore in 2021-22. In 2022-23 also, a profit of Rs 23 crore was made by doing work worth Rs 800 crore. In 2023-24, the turnover of the department was Rs 1160 crore, although its details are yet to be received.
When asked that Nirman Nigam is facing difficulties in getting work from other departments, he assured that through a comprehensive action plan, big projects will be provided to the department. He said that everyone is working with full dedication to get a better position for the department.
