A truck crushed a young man riding a motorcycle on the service road of the newly built Delhi-Dehradun Expressway in Ghaziabad’s Thana Tronica City area. According to people present at the spot, the young man was dragged along with the truck for several meters. The young man died on the spot.

Gullu Bansal, originally from Baghpat, lived in Khwaja Park, Ram Park Elaichipur Loni Ghaziabad. Gullu Bansal had a private job. On Wednesday too, he had left for work on his bike. During this time, when he came on the service road of the under-construction Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, a truck loaded with bricks crushed him.
According to the people present at the spot during the accident, the truck was moving at a high speed and Gullu was dragged for several meters. Gullu lives with his mother and wife. Gullu’s father and his brother have died. Gullu was the sole breadwinner of the family.
According to ACP Loni Suryabali Maurya, the police has recovered the truck. The driver is absconding. Efforts are being made to arrest the driver. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.
