The minister expressed concern over the wolf attack in Mahsi tehsil and appealed to the officials to create awareness among people, especially women, in the affected areas so that people can be saved from attacks by wild animals.

During the divisional review meeting, Deputy Director Women Welfare N.B. Singh informed that 1,73,486 women are getting pension benefits under the pension scheme operated for destitute women after the death of their husbands. The number of bill generated applications under the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Scheme is 85,501, while 355 persons have been benefited under the UP Chief Minister Bal Seva Scheme (Covid-19) and 2,207 persons have been benefited under the UP Chief Minister Bal Seva Scheme (General).

9377 Anganwadi centers operated In the divisional review meeting of Child Development Services and Nutrition Department, Deputy Director in-charge Manoj Kumar Maurya said that a total of 9,377 Anganwadi centers are operating in the division. Along with this, the construction work of 106 buildings is in progress. In the first phase, 44 centers are being equipped with 18 basic facilities, while in the second phase, work is going on in 305 centers.

Increasing the enrollment of children The Deputy Director said that efforts are being made to increase the enrollment of children of 5-6 years under the ECCE (Pre-School Education) Nipun Bharat Lakshya jointly run by the Basic Education and Child Development Department. During this, Minister Baby Rani Maurya performed the baby shower of five pregnant women and Annaprasan of five children.
