According to experts, in the above case, the strength of the columns and beams will be checked using CTM (Compression Testing Machine). Apart from this, the tensile test of the steel bars and concrete used in the columns and beams will be done using UTM (Universal Testing Machine). This will determine whether the columns and beams were capable of bearing the weight of the building or not.

LDA team started investigation The committee constituted under the chairmanship of LDA’s Additional Secretary Gyanendra Verma has also started the investigation. The committee includes Chief City Planner Kaushalendra Gautam, Deputy Secretary Atul Krishna Singh, Executive Engineer Ajay Goyal, Deputy Secretary Madhvesh Kumar. The Additional Secretary said that the maps of all three buildings have been tested. At present, the maps of all have been passed. Now a report has been sought on whether the construction is as per the maps or against them. If the construction is found to be illegal, action will be taken as per law.

LDA is investigating the negligence during construction Instead of the technical aspects of the building, the committee is investigating the negligence committed at the time of its construction at the authority level. It will give a report regarding the allotment and map. It will also see under whose tenure the building was approved. Because one floor of the building was illegal. Officials say that not only plot number 54/1, but the construction of buildings on other nearby plots has also been done against the map. The map of the demolished building was approved only for one floor, whereas it had three floors. How was the plot allotted? When was the map passed? How much money was deposited for the building? All these things are being investigated.

Structural report sought in two days LDA has given two more days to the building owner for the certificate of strength of the third building built in the line of the collapsed building. LDA has asked to submit the audit report of the strength of the building by 13th September. Only the audit report of the structural engineer will be valid. If the report is not submitted within two days, the authority will seal it. LDA engineers and officials inspected the building built on plot number 56 on Tuesday. Cracks were found in some parts of it.

After this, the building owner was asked to get the building inspected by a structural engineer and give a certificate. The structural engineer will give a certificate as to whether this building is completely strong and safe or not. Has the collapse of the adjacent building affected it or not? The building owner had asked for two more days’ time from the authority’s engineers for this. On the other hand, the authority’s engineers said that this building has developed cracks in its mamti and other parts. Probably the collapse of the building built on plot number 54 has affected it as well. It has developed cracks due to the earthquake. If the report does not come in two days, the building will be sealed.
