Arrest made near overbridge slope
The police of Chanda police station arrested Vimal Singh during vehicle checking near the overbridge slope of Baitikala Shivala on Sultanpur-Varanasi national highway. Chanda police station in-charge Ravindra Kumar Singh said that the police stopped the suspicious person riding a bike and searched him, then a pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from him.
He was identified as Vipin Singh’s younger brother Vimal Singh (30) son of Somendra Singh, resident of village Bhavni Nagar police station Mohanganj district Amethi. The police team that arrested him included Ved Prakash Sharma, outpost in-charge Koiripur Rajesh Rao, SI constable Surjeet Yadav, Satish Jaisal, Satendra Kumar.
Five accused of Saraf robbery case sent to jail
The four accused arrested along with the jewellery in the bullion robbery case were presented in the court on Thursday by the Kotwali Nagar police and the mastermind who was sent to police custody for five days was presented in the court by the investigating officer of the case. CJM Navneet Singh ordered to send everyone to jail in judicial custody. When the accused were brought under tight security, a huge crowd gathered to see them.
There was chaos for some time. Along with the accused of robbery, the gold jewellery and illegal guns recovered from them were also presented in the court. When the CJM asked the accused Ajay Yadav, Vinay Shukla, Vivek Singh and Durgesh Singh about the recovery and arrest, all of them said that the recovery was wrong and that they were innocent.
