Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the new academic session of Atal Residential School on Thursday. In a program organized at Atal Residential School located in village Sithauli Kala in Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, CM Yogi will inaugurate the auspicious beginning of the academic session 2024-25 simultaneously in all 18 divisions.

On this occasion, CM Yogi will also give awards to the meritorious students of these schools, while distributing school bags to the students taking admission. During this, CM Yogi will also see the talent of the school students. Innovative and modern models made by the students in the last academic session will be presented before the CM.
This will include devices like smart dustbin, smart blind stick, automatic street light, obstacle avoiding robot, computer model, calligraphy and art and craft.
The foundation stone was laid on 24 January 2020 Atal Residential School Scheme is being run by Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UPBOCW) Board. Its foundation stone was laid by CM Yogi on 24 January 2020.
Through this, schools equipped with free residential facilities have been constructed at the divisional level in the state. Each Atal residential school is built in an area of 12 to 15 acres. The total construction cost of all Atal residential schools established in the state is Rs 1267 crore.
Under the scheme, clean premises with free educational and residential facilities have been made available to eligible students in schools. Provision of good nutritious food has been made. Along with proper arrangements for sports, science labs equipped with modern equipment, smart classes and medical facilities with trained staff are being provided in the campus for students.
Classes will be conducted for 6480 students The process of admission in Atal Residential Schools has been completed through the Mandal level monitoring committee. Earlier, the first academic session was started on 11 September 2023. These schools have been constructed by the Yogi government, equipping them with a residential capacity of 1000 children.
It is noteworthy that Atal Residential School is an ambitious scheme of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, under which an initiative has been taken to connect the children of registered construction workers, children orphaned in Covid-19 and orphan children covered under the Chief Minister Bal Seva Yojana with the mainstream of society.
