In Veerganj market of Tehsil Jamunaha area, the PWD department reached the block headquarters road with a bulldozer along with the administrative staff and police force. The team removed the temporary encroachments on both sides of the road and also demolished the platforms in front of the shops. During this, local traders protested, they said that the time given by the administration to remove the encroachment was not over. Despite this, the team removed the encroachment with the help of JCB on a war footing.
Officer Ravi Kumar said that the encroachment removal process has begun and since the market is large, it is not possible to remove all the encroachment in one day. Soon, another campaign will be launched and the Veerganj market will be made completely encroachment free.
