The team has started the rescue operation. Meanwhile, it has been raining sometimes heavily and sometimes moderately for the last 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, 180 mm of rain was recorded till 5 pm on Wednesday. This broke the 25-year record of rain in a single day in September. Earlier in 1999, 155 mm of rain was recorded in 24 hours in September. There is an alert for heavy rain today as well. The DM has declared a holiday today in all schools from class 1 to 12.

Best rain of this season
The monsoon season in Jhansi is considered to be from 15 June to 15 September. The weather department had predicted good rains this time, but on the contrary, June passed dry and people were yearning for rain in July as well. The monsoon was definitely kind in August.
Jhansi receives an average rainfall of 825 mm every year, but till Tuesday afternoon, it had received 510 mm of rain. But after this, it has been raining heavily. 180 mm of rain has fallen in 24 hours. This is the best rainfall of this season.
Temperatures dropped by 7.6°C in one day, farmers worried
Due to heavy rains, many colonies were flooded.
Due to the heavy rains for the last two days, there has been a huge drop in the temperature. On September 10, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.5 degrees. On September 11, it fell by 7.6 degrees to 25.9 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 23.7 degrees Celsius. The weather has become cold due to the torrential rains.
Due to the rain for the last two days, the fields are flooded with water. This has troubled the farmers. If the rain continues further, then the crops of moong, urad, oilseeds may suffer heavy damage. Other crops including peanuts may also be affected.
Do not go to the river bank, keep an eye on the rising water level
To avoid getting wet in the rain, the young man riding the bike is wearing polythene in a special way.
According to the DM, due to continuous rain, water is being released from Rajghat and Matatila dam, due to which the rivers are in spate. In view of this, the villagers living on the river bank should not go to the island in the middle of the river under any circumstances nor do any kind of activity on the river bank. Villagers are being informed about this by making announcements.
Apart from this, the village head, village monitoring committee, accountant, secretary, officers should all be alert and keep an eye on the rising water level of the river. It should be ensured that there is no loss of animals and human beings under any circumstances.
Ensure the availability of divers and boats in the villages on the river bank so that people can be rescued in time. If there is a very fast flow of water on the riptide, avoid crossing the road and save others as well. Provide information about such villages to the headquarters immediately.

Waterlogging also occurred in Gursarai, Mauranipur, Montha area.
