Physical reporting of candidates for admission to BHU’s undergraduate courses has started. On the first day, more than 70 percent of students reached the respective faculties and got their documents verified. After verification, the university passbook was issued.

The seat allocation process for admission to 7712 undergraduate seats in BHU and its affiliated colleges is going on since August 17. After four rounds of seat allocation, the spot round started on September 9. With seat allocation from September 12 to 14 for the spot round, BHU called the students who had locked their seats by paying the fees for physical reporting on September 13 and 14. On the first day, 6600 candidates were called.

Document verification was done at 6 different places

On the first day, a huge crowd of students gathered for document verification in Arts Faculty, Science, Social Science and Commerce Faculty. Separate counters were made for this. For physical reporting, 15 to 20 officers and employees were engaged in document verification at the counters. The documents of the students of the main campus were checked in the hall of the Museum Science Department of the Arts Faculty.

Prof. Bhaskar Bhattacharya, chairman of BHU’s Central Admission Committee, said that with Saturday’s reporting, all UG seats are expected to be filled. Because the time period for spot seat allocation is also ending on the 14th. He informed that BHU is preparing to conduct undergraduate classes from September 17. For this, the registrar’s office has directed the deans and department heads of all faculties to make arrangements. Along with this, the process of spot round will also continue.
