ASP North Akhilesh Singh and ADM Narendra Singh were also present on Friday night along with SP Deepak Bhukar regarding Ganesh immersion. Their arrival increased the confidence of the local people and devotees regarding security and they were assured that the administration is fully alert.

SP Deepak Bhukar inspected the Gagni Kheda lake of Kotwali Gangaghat. This is the main site of immersion. He took stock of the security arrangements and basic facilities here. During the inspection, the SP especially reviewed the arrangements made to deal with emergencies. During his inspection, the SP ensured that the rescue team was fully deployed.

Adequate number of police personnel and rescue team members were available at the site for quick response in case of emergency. In addition, divers were also deployed to deal with potential problems in the water. This step further strengthens the security arrangements, especially in view of the activities taking place in the water during the immersion.

He ensured that all safety protocols are followed at the immersion site and vigilance is maintained to avoid any kind of disturbance. He directed the policemen and concerned officials to behave well with the devotees and help them in completing their immersion process smoothly.

The immersion site was crowded with devotees till late at night, who were moving towards the Gagni Kheda lake with drums and trumpets. This scene reflects religious fervour and grandeur and it was the responsibility of the administration to ensure that this festival is conducted peacefully and safely.
