In Varanasi, miscreants shot and killed a shopkeeper for not giving them cigarettes at midnight. The miscreants on a bike first woke up grocery businessman Sharda Yadav (55) sleeping outside the shop by calling him and then asked for a famous brand of cigarettes.

The High Court sought a reply on the removal of encroachment in Moradabad; Municipal Corporation and PWD said in court that the land and action are not theirs

Allahabad High Court has sought a counter affidavit on the petition filed against the encroachment demolition drive in Moradabad. This order was given by the division bench of Justice Anjani Kumar Mishra and Justice Jayant Banerjee on the petition of Ram Autar. The court gave this order after the Municipal Corporation told that the land does not belong to the corporation but to the Public Works Department. It is the same department which has done the marking.

When the court asked the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, he was told that the land does not belong to his department and neither has the PWD marked it. The land belongs to the ceiling department. According to the petition, the Municipal Corporation team measured the spot and marked one foot 15 cm encroachment of the petitioner’s house and ordered to remove it themselves. Read full news
