Also, as soon as he got the information about the release of water, he called a meeting of all the officers in the office. In which he instructed that no officer or employee will go out of the district headquarters for the next one week. power supply had stopped
There was heavy rain with strong winds for two days in Shahjahanpur. Due to this, there was a fault in the power lines from Bareilly turn to Gaushala in the Abdullaganj power substation area. The superintending engineer had given instructions to immediately repair the power lines and start the power supply. The power lines could not be repaired from Thursday evening to Friday evening. Angry people had blocked the road outside the power house.
When the consumers called the JE of Abdullaganj Electricity Substation to inquire about the electricity supply, he had switched off his mobile. Due to which the consumers had to face a lot of problems. People blocked the road for about 3 hours. Electricity supply could be started at around 11 pm on Friday night.
Action taken in case of negligence
After this, Superintending Engineer JP Verma got the entire matter investigated. In which gross negligence of the JE of Abdullaganj Electricity Substation has come to light. Taking action, he has removed the JE and 6 contract workers and sent them to different places. He said that the consumers had to face a lot of problems. Action will definitely be taken against the negligent officers.
Red alert issued in the district
Superintending Engineer JP Verma said that the district has been put on red alert. As soon as information was received about heavy rains and water being released from the barrage, a meeting was held with the officials in the office. In which instructions were given on how to deal with a flood-like situation if it arises and that consumers should not face any problems. He instructed that no officer or employee will go out of the district.
