A student died after being hit by a train near Bijrol gate in Baraut police station area of Baghpat. Three other students narrowly escaped the accident. All the students had left for school and were crossing the railway track.

Chhaya, a class 11 student, was crossing the railway track with her three friends when suddenly a train came. Chhaya died after being hit by the train, while her three fellow students were saved from being hit by the train in time. Eyewitness Yogendra Singh said that the four students were going to school and his daughter was also with them. After the rain, the railway track was flooded, due to which the students were crossing the track. They heard the sound of the train, but due to a lot of noise, Chhaya could not hear the sound and she was hit by the train.
Police sent the body for post-mortem
On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. The police has started investigating the case. This accident has spread a wave of mourning in the area and questions have started arising about the security arrangements along the railway track.
