Duleep Trophy- India D chasing a target of 488: Yash-Ricky on the crease; India B captain Ishwaran close to 150 runs

The fourth day of the second round of Duleep Trophy 2024 has started. A day earlier on Saturday, three centuries were scored. Pratham Singh and Tilak Verma scored centuries for India A. In another match, India B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran scored a century against India C.
In the match being played in Anantapur, India A declared their second innings on the score of 380/3 on the third day and gave India D a target of 488 runs to win. By the end of the day’s play, India D has scored 62 runs after losing 1 wicket. Ricky Bhui is unbeaten on 40 and Yash Dubey is unbeaten on 15 runs.
India B has scored 309 runs for 7 wickets in the first innings in reply to India C’s 525 runs. Abhimanyu Easwaran returned unbeaten after scoring 143 runs and Washington Sundar returned unbeaten after scoring 13 runs.
IND A Vs IND D: Pratham and Tilak score centuries India A declared their second innings after lunch on the third day. Batsmen Pratham Singh and Tilak Verma scored centuries from the team’s side. Pratham played an innings of 122 runs on 189 balls. During this, he hit 12 fours and a six.
Apart from him, Tilak scored 111 runs in 193 balls. Captain Mayank Agarwal scored 56 runs with the help of 8 fours. Mayank and Pratham added 125 runs for the first wicket. Shashwat Rawat scored an unbeaten 64 runs. Saurabh Kumar took 2 wickets for India D.
India A scored 290 runs in the first innings Earlier, India D won the toss and elected to bowl first against India A. India A scored 290 runs in the first innings. Shams Mulani (89) and Tanush Kotian (53) scored half-centuries for the team. Harshit Rana took 4 wickets for India D. Vidwat Kaverappa and Arshdeep Singh took 2-2 wickets. Saransh Jain and Saurabh Kumar got 1-1 wickets.
In reply to 290 runs, India D was all out for 183 runs. Devdutt Padikkal scored the highest 92 runs for the team. Khaleel Ahmed and Aaqib Khan took 3-3 wickets for India A.
Indian team’s star batsman and India D captain Shreyas was sent to the pavilion by Khalil Ahmed on a score of 0. He came to play wearing glasses inside a helmet. After this, wicketkeeper batsman Sanju got out after scoring 5 runs. In this way, India A got a lead of 107 runs on the basis of the first innings.
IND B Vs IND C: Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran remained unbeaten after scoring a century Against India C, India B has scored 279 runs after losing 6 wickets in the first innings on the third day. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran is unbeaten after scoring a century. Apart from him, team opener N Jagadeesan scored a half-century. He scored 70 runs in 137 balls.
Earlier, India B won the toss against India C and chose to bowl first. India C scored 525 runs in the first innings. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan scored a century for the team. He scored 111 runs in 126 balls. Apart from him, Manav Suthar scored 82, Baba Indrajit scored 78 and Rituraj Gaikwad scored 58 runs.
India C on top of points table In the first round of Duleep Trophy, India B defeated India A by 76 runs, while India C defeated India D by 4 wickets. India C and India B are at the top of the points table. Both teams have 6-6 points.
New format of Duleep Trophy Duleep Trophy is being played in a new format from this season. Earlier it was played in zonal format. Now the top players of domestic cricket have been divided into four teams. The tournament will be played in round-robin format without any knockout match. The team that gets the most points at the end of the round-robin matches will be the champion.
