Khekra Kotwali police of Baghpat has arrested an accused in the cylinder robbery case during the checking campaign. 11 stolen domestic gas cylinders have been recovered from the arrested accused, along with 70 cylinders which were kept separately for black marketing.

The case is from near Mussoorie village on the Delhi-Saharanpur highway in Khekra Kotwali area, where on the night of September 10, four accused carried out the robbery of domestic gas cylinders from a truck. On the complaint of truck driver Ranpal, the police registered a case and started immediate action. In this sequence, on September 11, the police arrested an accused named Satish, from whose possession 85 looted cylinders were recovered.
However, the police did not stop here. While conducting a checking drive at the Dundahera outpost, the police also arrested another accused named Anmol. Anmol is a resident of Dhikoli village in Baghpat district, and 11 looted domestic gas cylinders and 70 other cylinders meant for black marketing were recovered from him. Apart from this, the police have also seized a Bolero pickup vehicle from the possession of the accused, which was used in the robbery.
Kailash Chand, in-charge of Khekra police station, said that one accused has been arrested and sent to jail in this cylinder robbery case. Police is also continuously trying to arrest other accused.
