Delhi businessman dies in Meerut, dead body found in hotel room
The body of a Delhi businessman was found in Libra Hotel in Meerut’s Sadar police station area. The businessman died under suspicious circumstances in the hotel room. He had not opened the door of the room since Sunday night. When the room did not open till noon on Monday, the hotel staff called in the room.

Stayed in Meerut for 4 days Manoj Kumar Singh, son of Charan Singh, a resident of Gandhinagar, East Delhi, was staying at Libra Hotel. The businessman was staying in room number 106 of this hotel for four days. Manoj Singh was alone in the room. The hotel staff said that Manoj had come to Meerut for business. He would leave the hotel every morning and return in the evening. After this, he would order food from the hotel staff in the room and eat.
The businessman did not come out on Monday
The staff said that the businessman did not order dinner on Sunday. After coming from outside in the afternoon, he stayed in the room. On Monday, when he did not come out till 10 o’clock, the staff got suspicious. First the room service staff knocked on the door but there was no response from inside. After this, a call was made to the extension in the room but the call was not received.
Police opened the lock with a master key
On suspicion, the hotel staff called the businessman’s mobile but it was not received. Then the staff called Dial 112. Dial 112 arrived in a short while. They called the Sadar Bazar police station. Investigation was done. Manoj Singh’s mobile and other belongings were also kept neatly in the room. At present, the police have filled the Panchnama and sent the body to the medical.
No clue found of suicide or murder Sadar police station in-charge said that after getting information from the hotel, the police team reached the spot. The businessman’s family has been informed. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Nothing suspicious has been found in the room, which suggests that it is a suicide or murder. Prima facie, it seems that the businessman had a sudden heart attack due to which he died. The rest of the reasons will be known from the post-mortem report.
