On Saturday evening around 6 PM, three youths who had gone to take a bath in the river water after Ganesh Visarjan near the Church temple built in the Kosi river in the Swar police station area, drowned. The accident took place near the Kosi temple in the Swar outpost Maswasi village Ghosipura.
The youth Daksh son of Anil Kumar, Vikas son of Ramashankar, Nagesh son of Jagveer, all three are 17 to 18 years old residents of Kashipur district Udham Singh Nagar. They were bathing in the Kosi river during Ganesh Visarjan. One of them, Daksh son of Anil Kumar, slipped and fell into the river. Two other friends tried to save him but both of them drowned in the Kosi river along with him.
Dead body found near Chhaparra village The Swar police station and the SDRF team are searching for the three drowned youths and are engaged in rescue operations. This evening, when the farmers of Chhaparra village saw the bodies, they informed the police. Daksh’s body was recovered this evening in Chhaparra village, 20 km away in the river.
