Anganwadi workers demonstrated in Saharanpur regarding their demands. In the memorandum submitted regarding their demands, Anganwadi workers said that the order of appointment of ECCE educators from Anganwadi centres should be cancelled with immediate effect. Anganwadi workers should be made eligible for NEP

Anganwadi workers demonstrated under the banner of Anganwadi Employees Union UP (CITU) at Haqiqat Nagar Dharna Sthal. District President Qurrat said- The order of appointment of ECCE educators in Anganwadi centers should be canceled with immediate effect. He opposed the order of this appointment. During the demonstration, a memorandum was submitted to the DM regarding seven demands.

District President Qurrat said through the memorandum- The order of appointment of educators should be withdrawn immediately. Anganwadi workers should be trained according to NEP. Anganwadi workers should be given the responsibility of educators and they should be given special ECCE allowance. Anganwadi helpers should also be given additional allowance. ECCE Policy 2013 approved by the Government of India should be followed. Nutrition should be distributed every month. Anganwadi workers should be given the benefit of gratuity.

District President Qurrat, District Coordinator Surendra Kumar, Aasma, Suman Agarwal, Sameena Naz, Satyavati, Sushila, Nirmala, Arpan Bala, Sunita, Meena Devi, Sunita, Babita, Sangeeta Singhal, Seema, Sunita, Sharmila, Saira, Chaman, Gulsham Kumar etc were present in the protest.
