About 60 thousand people of 36 villages of Tarabganj and Colonelganj tehsils are affected by the flood. People have to use boats to reach the villages. People are migrating as their houses are flooded. People are living on high places or main roads by putting tarpaulin. The flood has caused the most devastation in Colonelganj.

The administration is also on alert mode amid the worsening situation due to floods. More than 150 boats have been arranged to help the people. Relief kits are being distributed for food and water. Villagers forced to migrate We reached Bahadurpur village of Tarabganj tehsil to know the flood situation. Boats are running on the roads here. People are living by putting tarpaulin on the side of the road. Women were seen cooking food under the tarpaulin. Children were playing on the side of the road. Some people were milking animals. Dozens of families were seen here surviving the flood and making their living.

The administration deployed 150 boats The administration has intensified relief work in the flood affected areas. 150 boats have been deployed for the movement of people from one place to another. At the same time, relief kits and lunch packets are also being distributed to the victims.

Dozens of houses have been flooded due to floods in Bahadurpur village. The villagers have abandoned their homes and migrated to higher places. Many people stay at home throughout the day to monitor their houses and return to higher places in the evening.

The water level of Ghaghra river is rising rapidly. Due to which about 25 villages are affected by the flood.

Bahadurpur residents Brijesh Pratap Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Ram Inder Yadav and Chandrapata said that their houses are flooded. They are facing difficulty in getting food and water and fodder for animals.

Relief material is sometimes provided by the district administration, but our problems remain serious. We are not getting immediate and effective help from the administration and other organizations of the society in the flood. So that flood affected people like us can get relief and complete security.

Sandeep Singh said that everything of ours has been submerged in the flood. We could not even take out the things kept in the house. There is a lot of difficulty even in getting food and water. Some people have received money from the government as help. With this they are managing their livelihood.

Bhagirath, a resident of Bahadurpur, said that we are somehow managing to survive. There is so much water that even the tap has drowned. Even drinking water is not available properly. Help has not reached here yet. We are facing a lot of problems.
