Directed by Ram Mohan, Yûgô Sakô and Koichi Saski, the music was composed by Vanraj Bhatia. This film received widespread acclaim. It was produced by Makoto Arai. The voice of Lord Rama was of Arun Govil and Nikhil Kapoor, while Edie Mirman, Rael Padamsee and Namrata Sawhney gave their voice to Sita. The film is still watched by millions and is one of the most popular films in the Indian film Industry. It holds an impressive IMDb rating of 9.2.
The second film we are talking about here is Adipurush. It was released in 2023 and was directed by Om Raut. It stars popular actors like Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Devdutta Nage, Sunny Singh, Sonal Chauhan, Neha Khan, Rehan Khan, Angad Bedi, Tejaswini Pandit and Siddhant Karnick. According to reports, made with a budget of more than Rs 450 crores, the film managed to record a box office collection of Rs 393 crore.
Adipurush was widely criticised for its storyline and depictions. Despite, being made in different languages, the film failed to get its commercial approval. The Nepal Government also imposed a ban on all Bollywood films until the removal of a line that it tagged as ‘objectional.’ Many people mentioned that it hurts the sentiments of the Hindu religion. Several Hindu groups also called for a ban on the film.
