Vishwakarma Jayanti was celebrated by Vishwakarma Samaj in Lalitpur on Tuesday. During this religious programs were organized at many places. Vishwakarma Jayanti was celebrated together by blacksmith, woodworker, coppersmith, goldsmith, craftsman community. Sundarkand was organized in the morning.

The people of Vishwakarma community were walking in the front row of the procession. Behind them, the idol of Lord Vishwakarma was riding a chariot. Camels and horses were also present. The Braj Mandali was dancing on religious songs. Hundreds of women were walking in the procession carrying urns on their heads.
The procession was welcomed by people at various places. A public meeting was organised at Tuvan Mandir under the chief hospitality of Rajya Sabha MP Kailash Narayan Soni and special hospitality of Poonam Anurag Sharma, wife of regional MP Anurag Sharma and under the chairmanship of Vijay Deodia.
