Preparations for Ram Barat are going on in full swing in Agra. Development work is going on at war level in Janakpuri organizing area, preparations for welcoming the Barat are also being finalized. It has been decided that during the welcome of Ram Barat, all the members of the organizing committee will be present.

Janakpuri Mahotsav Organizing Committee 2024 has decided that during Janakpuri Mahotsav, all the officials will be seen in maroon and yellow kurta and white pajamas. A tailor has been appointed for this. The tailor also took the measurements of all the officials after reaching the committee office located near Kothi Meena Bazaar Ground. During the event, a separate person will be called to tie the turban on the heads of the officials. Janakpuri Mahotsav will be organized from 28 September to 2 September.

Committee’s president Gaurav Agarwal said that all the dresses will be ready by September 25. The turban tyer has also been contacted. He said that this time the event will be historic. This time Janakpuri is being organized in Shahganj area under Ramlila Mahotsav. Janak Mahal is being prepared at Kothi Meena Bazaar Ground. Attractive decorations will be done in the area from Pachkuinya to Hasanpura turn, Rui ki Mandi gate to CTV intersection. A total of 51 welcome gates are being made. These will be named after various characters of Ramayana. Committee’s patron Gaurav Rajawat said that the work of making the gates has also begun.

Starting from Mankameshwar Temple, it will reach Janakpuri Organizing Area Shahganj on the morning of 29th September. The procession will be given a warm welcome here. In the evening, the idols of Lord Shri Ram, Sita and Lakshman will be seated on the stage to be built at Janak Mahal. Their Aarti will be performed here. After the city tour on 30th, the idols will again be seated on the stage. The idols will be sent off on 1st September and the felicitation ceremony will be held on 2nd September.

Development work is being done at a cost of Rs 6.3 crore For the Janakpuri event, the Municipal Corporation is carrying out development works worth Rs 6.50 crore in the area. Work is being done to build CC roads, construct drains, drain boundaries, install street lights and high mask lights in various areas.
