In Safa village of Babina, there has been a rivalry between the families of Uttam Singh and Leela Devi for the last several years over the supremacy of the Pradhan. At present, Leela Devi’s son Monu is the village Pradhan. The family of the opposition Uttam Singh has also held the Pradhan post. Uttam’s son Ajay has a shop outside the village.
On Tuesday evening, Leela Devi’s nephew Dharmendra was drinking alcohol with his friends outside Ajay’s shop. Ajay objected to this and asked Dharmendra to leave from there. A dispute broke out between them over this. Dharmendra, along with his friends, beat up Ajay.
Fierce violence broke out after the beating
There has been a rivalry between the two parties for the last several years over the dominance of the headship.
After the fight, Ajay ran home and told about the fight. On hearing this, Ajay’s family members went to Dharmendra’s house looking for him. Here both the parties came face to face. Fighting started between the two parties. There was a stampede in the village. Sticks and axes started being used by both the parties.
Meanwhile, a bullet fired from a gun hit the hand of former village head Leela Devi (50). She fell down injured. Police reached the spot on receiving information. Police took the injured to the medical college. Now police force has been deployed in the village.

After the fight, SP City Gyanendra Kumar Singh reached the medical college and talked to the injured.
In the scuffle, Leela Devi, along with Arvind Singh (26), Satyabhan (23), Dharmendra Singh (37), Sunil Singh (29), and Arun Singh (26) were injured. From the other side, Uttam Singh (55), Badam Singh (42), Sanjay (38), Ajay (32), Prithvi (32), Piyush (21) were injured.
Both the parties lodged a complaint in the police station
SP City Gyanendra Kumar Singh says that there is an old rivalry between the two families. The injured have been admitted to the medical college. The condition of the former village head is out of danger. Both the parties have filed a complaint against each other. The police have detained 14 people. Action will be taken against them.
