Ranhera village of Jewar falls in Phase 2 of Noida International Airport, where the village is to be acquired but even before that the condition of the village has changed, the rain and the subsequent water from drains and canals has reached inside the village, due to which the entire village is affected.

The situation in the village is such that people are forced to remain confined in their homes and many people have migrated from the village to their relatives or to other villages. The water from the drain and rain has entered the houses, due to which the food grains and other items of the villagers have also been spoiled.

The villagers allege that neither the administrative officials are taking any care of the village nor the public representatives are paying attention to it. The villagers held the administrative officials, Yamuna Authority and public representatives responsible for the situation. They said that no one is paying attention to the village. Due to waterlogging in the village, people are forced to migrate and the water has been stagnant for the last 15 days, due to which diseases are spreading.

Although a health camp has been set up by the health department, the villagers say that whatever administrative officer comes, he just walks around the village and leaves. No arrangements have been made for drainage till date. There is a lot of anger among the villagers regarding this, at present all the villagers are forced to live a miserable life.
