In the Kotwali area of Mainpuri district, a jackal resembling a wolf entered the locality. People mistook it for a wolf and hid in their homes out of fear. The incident took place in Sundar Nagar Gali of Sadar Kotwali area. It is being told that a jackal had strayed into the locality.

Police took action
The people of the locality immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot and tried to catch the jackal, but it escaped. The police and local youths laid siege, but the jackal managed to escape from there by dodging everyone.
An atmosphere of fear in the neighborhood
Even after the jackal ran away, there is an atmosphere of fear in the locality. The people of the locality have demanded the forest department to catch the jackal so that they can get rid of this fear.
