Two people died after walls collapsed in Ayana and Phaphund areas of Auraiya following heavy rains on Wednesday. The first incident took place in Ayana, where 20-year-old Vijay died after being buried under the wall of a kutcha house. Vijay was staying at his maternal uncle Nawab Singh’s house for the last few days.

The second incident is from Ata village of Phaphund police station area, where 58-year-old Shri Prakash Mishra alias Kallu died after being buried under debris when a wall collapsed due to heavy rains. Shri Prakash was sleeping under a tin shed at night when the wall collapsed. The deceased’s father Roop Narayan said that he had three sons, two of whom had already died. Now Shri Prakash, who was not married, also died.

After both the incidents, police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
