Last night, some miscreants placed an old telecom pole on the railway track passing behind a colony near the Uttarakhand border in Bilaspur. The loco pilot removed the pole by applying emergency brakes and sent the train off. On receiving the information about the pole being placed on the track, the government was alerted.

The incident is of Bilaspur in Rampur. Last night, there was a commotion on the Bilaspur Road Rudrapur City Station Km 43/10-11 railway line passing behind Balwant Enclave Colony of Rudra-Bilas Chowki area, when some mischievous elements placed an old iron pole of telecom in the middle of the track. Then at around 11 o’clock, when the loco pilot of train number 12091 Dehradun Express passing from there noticed the pole, he stopped the train by applying emergency brakes. After removing the pole, the departmental officials were informed.

Police and railway officials arrived after receiving information about placing a pillar on the track.

SP reached the spot and inspected

After receiving the information, GRP, RPF and police post reached the spot and took the pillar in their possession and started searching the place at night. It is said that GRP Captain Vidya Sagar Mishra from Moradabad reached the spot.

On Thursday morning, the team of officers reached the spot again. They took information from the people nearby. It is said that some youths consume drugs on the railway line passing behind the colony, due to which petty thefts also take place in the nearby areas.

It is said that this act was done by him. Being a 6-7 meter long telecom pole, it must have been placed on the track so that it could be cut by the train, but could the train have overturned due to his act? It is being told that GRP has picked up three suspects. They are interrogating them. A case has been registered against the railway engineer.
