power line theft incident

The incident occurred when Stambh Power System Pvt Ltd Director Vipin Kumar of Amariya police station filed a case of electricity line theft. He said that an overhead electricity line was being constructed for a yeast plant in Amariya police station area. During this time, some unknown people stole about 2 km long electricity line.

Police took immediate action

After the incident of power line theft, the police became alert and started searching for the accused. Acting on the information received from the informer, the police arrested four accused.

The arrested accused were identified as following:

• Lotusson Chhotelal, resident of Rudrapur, Uttarakhand
• mohammad junaidson of Maseed, resident of Baheri, Bareilly
• Asib Ali alias Salmanresident of Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand
• mohammed israelresident of Police Station Kichha, Udham Singh Nagar

Goods recovered

The police have recovered two pick-up vehicles, cash and a 2 km long stolen electric wire from the accused. The police said that all the arrested accused have been involved in crime earlier and have a long criminal record.

Statement of Additional Superintendent of Police

Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Dahiya said that the police was continuously investigating this case in depth. Based on the information, the accused have been arrested and sent to jail. The police believes that this gang was committing such crimes for a long time.
