Balrampur District Court has given a historic verdict in a rape case on Thursday. Accused Naseem son Chingud has been sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 12 thousand has also been imposed on him. The case is of 6 August 2017, when the accused

The victim’s father had filed a complaint in Pachpedwa police station on 6 August 2017, in which the accused Naseem was accused of forcibly raping his daughter after entering the house and later threatening to kill her. The police immediately registered a case and started investigation and arrested the accused.
Court ruling
During the trial, many witnesses and evidence were presented by both the sides. The prosecution presented strong evidence in the court to prove the accused guilty. Taking into consideration all the witnesses and evidence, the court convicted the accused Naseem and sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 12,000 has also been imposed, which will have to be paid as an additional punishment.
Family response
The victim’s family is satisfied with the court’s decision and expressed their gratitude to the judiciary. The family says that this decision has brought them justice and now they have got justice. This decision is being considered an important step towards the strictness of the judicial process in Balrampur district and providing justice to the victims.
