The whole matter is of Sadar Kotwali area. A person living here told in the complaint given to the police that Naved son of Masroor Ahmed Khan, resident of Mohalla Bangla Azad of Sadar Kotwali area of Rampur, used to call his daughter on mobile often. The accused has been calling continuously since May 2024. When the girl protested, she was threatened to upload her pictures on social media accounts. Not only this, five lakh rupees were demanded as ransom in the name of stopping the pictures.

Now there was a ruckus at the shop

Here, the family members kept ignoring his antics for fear of defamation. While on the night of 18th September, the accused went to the clothes shop of the girl’s father in the market and started creating a ruckus. He said that if he thought of marrying the girl, he would spoil her face by throwing acid on her. On this, the girl’s father along with the nearby shopkeepers caught the accused. While later he was handed over to the police. The police registered an FIR against the accused and arrested him.
